Flash Flood Watch remains in place for North Central Arizona

The National Weather Service in Bellemont has issued a Flash Flood Watch for a portion of north central Arizona, including Coconino Plateau, Grand Canyon Country, Kaibab Plateau, and Marble and Glen Canyons. The watch will remain in place through this evening. Ample monsoon moisture and instability will lead to an enhanced potential for very heavy rain and flash flooding. This includes flash flood prone areas such as Supai, the Grand Canyon, and Antelope Canyon. People, especially those located along area creeks, rivers or other flash flood prone areas, should monitor the forecast and be prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be issued.
