Saturday evening, following a heavy storm, Sedona Fire crews responded to a report of three people stuck on an island in the middle of Oak Creek at the Crescent Moon Ranch State Park. Officials say the rising water quickly stranded the trio while they attempted to cross the creek. Crews were able to get tall three safely across. Officials are reminding citizens that flood waters rise quickly and it doesn’t have to be raining in your location to create a dangerous flash flood situation.
