Game and Fish says they have exchanged a record number of life vests so far this year

Game and Fish officials say, so far this year, they have exchanged a record number of life jackets this summer. More than 1,000 old, worn-out life jackets have been swapped for brand-new ones during numerous events held throughout the state. In September, Game and Fish is holding three more life jacket exchange events; at Lake Powell at the Wahweap Marina on Sept. 1st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; in Kingman at the Game and Fish regional office on Sept. 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at Lake Powell’s Antelope Marina on Sept. 14th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Officials say Type I and Type II life jackets will not be accepted.  2018 marks the 10-year anniversary of Game and Fish’s life jacket exchange program.
