Highway-89-A in Cottonwood was closed Thursday afternoon due to a vehicle crash that downed some power lines. Cottonwood Police Sgt Monica Kuhlt says a vehicle turning right into the Denny’s parking lot was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop behind it, forcing it into a power pole. The lines crossed both lanes of the highway and forced the closure of the roadway for a couple of hours so repairs could be made.
