YCSO arrests repeat offense sex offender for sexually assaulting a Congress woman

Early last week, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a sex offense incident in the Congress. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the victim, in her 50’s, told deputies she had been sexually assaulted by 59-year old Charles Dexter Pierce, from Congress, back in July. The victim said Pierce, who is an acquaintance, had come by her home unannounced to ‘visit’ that day. After a brief conversation, he began molesting her and then forced her into another room in the house and sexually assaulted her against her will. D’Evelyn says today, Pierce admitted to deputies that he had sexual contact with the victim. He was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on 3 counts of Sexual Assault and 1 count of Sexual Abuse. Pierce was already on lifetime probation as a sex offender regarding a prior conviction for attempted molestation of a child.
