Central Arizona Fire and Medical responded to a crash involving a UTV and an SUV on Coyote Springs and Windmill Acres Road Tuesday morning. Initial investigation indicates the driver of the UTV turned in front of the oncoming SUV. Officials say the driver of the UTV was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was flown to a trauma facility in Phoenix with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured. Traffic was backed up for over an hour while crews were on scene.
