Late Thursday morning, DPS, along with three fire agencies, responded to a motorcycle down on southbound Highway 89A just over Mingus Mountain, outside of Prescott Valley. A motorcyclist lost control of his bike and crashed trying to avoid another vehicle. Spokesman Bart Graves says the male driver was flown to FMC with serious injuries. The female passenger was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of a broken leg. Neither was wearing a helmet.
