Winslow Couple arrested in Camp Verde on drug charges receive 10 years in prison

Monday, two people arrested last year, after being caught with a half-pound of meth in their truck during a traffic stop in Camp Verde, were each sentenced to 10 years in prison. Yavapai County Attorney’s Office Administrative Assistant Penny Cramer says 32-year old Rachael Crites and 33-year old Joshua Crites of Winslow both received a flat-time sentence, with no option of parole. Court documents say Rachael is also charged with misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia. Joshua is also charged with tampering with physical evidence. YCSO officials say on Sept. 14th, of 2017 a Yavapai County Sheriff K9 deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Crites’ and saw methamphetamine in the center console. They say Joshua attempted to block the officer’s view, and claimed that the substance in the console to be sugar. Officials say a search of the vehicle revealed a rifle, cell phones, a two-way radio, and drug paraphernalia and a half-pound package of methamphetamine. The couple are married and have three young children.
