Some fire restrictions and closures lifted/some not

While some locations have been heavily doused by the monsoon, others have not. Some fire restrictions and closures have been lifted while others remain in place. Fire restrictions and closures have been lifted on the entire Coconino National Forest and much of the Kaibab National Forest; the North Kaibab Ranger District remains under Stage-2 Fire Restrictions. Tonto National Forest has lifted their closures and has dropped down to Stage-1 Fire Restrictions, which means campfires are only allowed in designated campgrounds. Sedona Fire District has also lifted their fire restrictions. It’s important the public check the forest website they’ll be visiting before heading out for the current restrictions and check with your local fire jurisdiction to find out restrictions, if any, remain in place in your own backyard.
