Level 2 Water Conservation Alert issued for Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley issued a Level 2 Water Conservation Alert for the town and the town’s water customers in adjacent county areas. Spokesperson Heidi Dahms Foster says the alert is being issued due to a combination of major mechanical failures and record water usage due to hot and dry weather conditions. The town currently has several wells that are being repaired. The level 2 alert requires residence to conserve water by restricting water usage. Residences with even numbered addresses are asked to conserve water on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday while those with odd numbered addresses should conserve on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Residents should refrain from irrigating, washing vehicles and filling or re-filling pools, spas and wading pools. Current water demand in Prescott Valley is about 12% higher this year than last year.
