Tuesday afternoon, DPS responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon near West Fork. Spokesperson Quentin Mehr says a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on 89A when the driver, a 22-year old male from Flagstaff, lost control of the vehicle, and ran off the road. He says the driver and the 21-year old female passenger were transported from the scene for treatment of injuries. Mehr says witnesses reported that the jeep was being driven recklessly prior to the crash, which is still under investigation.
