A wildfire off of Fain Rd. in Prescott Valley today stopped at 54 acres

A wildfire broke out this morning off of Fain Road near Lakeshore Drive in Prescott Valley. Central Arizona Fire and Medical Fire Marshal Rick Chase says the fire burned 54 acres of dry grasses before its progression was stopped. He says crews were assisted by multiple agencies and aircraft to help quickly control and extinguish the blaze. Chase says the fire is 100% contained and was human caused. He says though the exact cause of ignition is not known, it started right next to the road so dragging chains, a lit cigarette or sparks from a car most likely caused the blaze.
