The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide. Officials say they’re trying to identify a body found near Woody Mountain Road near Flagstaff last Tuesday. Identifying the body has been difficult due to the level of decomposition; it’s believed the remains have been in the area for several months. Officials believe the victim is an adult mail with a light complexion. Detectives believe the person was murdered somewhere else and was then transported to Woody Mountain Road where they were discarded. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office or Coconino Silent Witness.
