The Coconino National Forest marks its 110th anniversary this year, and one of its original ranger station cabins is getting a facelift. Volunteers are helping to restore the Mormon Lake Guard Station, which has served as home to hundreds of Forest Service employees. The current project involves re-roofing, replacement of exterior siding and modification of the porches with foundation repair and interior rehabilitation planned in the future.
