Coconino National Forest fire managers have planned several prescribed burns next week throughout the forest. In the Flagstaff Ranger District- Tuesday and Wednesday, the A1 Mountain Project, 490 acres immediately east of Bellemont, ½ mile north of I-40 and ½ mile east of Pilot Travel Center. And the Kendrick Burn Project- Wednesday, 503 acres twenty miles northwest of Flagstaff, 4 miles north of Kendrick Mountain. And for the Mogollon Rim Ranger District, Tuesday through Thursday, the Upper Beaver Creek Project-5,500 acres approximately 22-miles east of Montezuma’s Castle National Monument and near Buck Mountain Lookout.
