The National Weather Service in Bellemont is tracking a cold front slated to move through the state this Wednesday and Thursday. Officials say the system will be dry and very windy. Officials say low humidity may combine with winds to produce critical fire weather conditions across the state; wind could possibly even continue into Friday. Peak wind gusts may be in the upper 30’s in the Verde Valley, the low 40’s in the Prescott and Flagstaff area and the upper 40’s and low 50’s in the White Mountains and along I-40 east of Flagstaff.
