A Tennessee truck driver likely suffered a medical emergency prior to crashing on I-17 near Camp Verde last Thursday morning. DPS officials say 56-year old Kenneth Dempsey was headed southbound when his tractor-trailer left the interstate and drove 200-yards into the desert. Dempsey was found slumped over the wheel of the truck with no pulse. A friend said he had called earlier in the morning complaining of chest of pains.
