Four prescribed burns this week on the Coconino National Forest

The area will act as a fire break for the community. Wednesday, over 1,300-acres is slated to be treated with fire near Lower Lake Mary along Lake Mary Road. The burn could take a few days to complete. Thursday, crews may try to burn 1,300-acres north of the San Francisco Peaks, but with strong winds in the forecast, the project may be put on hold.
