Governor Doug Ducey released a statement Wednesday, in response to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s announcement that the administration will deploy National Guard to enhance border security efforts. Ducey’s statement says Arizona welcomes the deployment of National Guard to the border, and that he feels Washington has ignored the issue for too long and help is needed in support of public safety.
