Sedona Fire responded to another fallen hiker, this time a male who fell approximately 40 feet in the area of Chavez Ranch

Sedona Fire responded to another fallen hiker Friday afternoon, this time a male who fell approximately 40 feet in the area of Chavez Ranch. Fire Marshal John Davis says crews had to hike in to locate and treat the injured man. Davis says once there it was decided the patient had to be short hauled using a DPS helicopter due to the inaccessible location. Davis says the seriously injured man was then was transported by Helicopter to FMC. Crews completed the rescue in a little over three hours, which Davis says is not long for this type of rescue as crews are slowed down considerably by terrain and conditions.
