Monday afternoon, Jerome Fire responded to a single motor vehicle accident north of town on Highway 89A. Assistant Chief Ron Chilston says a single motorcycle rider lost control on a curve and was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Chilston says the motorist saw the man on the motorcycle losing control and reacted quickly, but the car still lightly grazed him. Chilston says crews arrived to find the man and his motorcycle in the roadway and closed the road for a brief period while they assessed his injuries. The rider was then transported to VVC for a shoulder injury and road rash.
