I-40 paving project requires lane closures west of Flagstaff

ADOT is advising drivers traveling on I-40 west of the town of Williams to expect delays as lane closures will be required starting Monday until April 30th while crews build roadway crossovers in preparation for the replacement of the existing pavement on I-40, approximately two miles west of Williams in Coconino County. Officials say the project also includes installing new guardrail and rehabilitating the bridge deck at the Devil Dog Wash overpass. The project should be completion by the end of the year. Officials say to accommodate travel during construction, temporary crossovers will be built in the median to shift traffic between eastbound and westbound lanes.
