City of Cottonwood Code Enforcement outlines junk auto ordinance

City of Cottonwood Code Enforcement has released information regarding junk automobiles. According to the City of Cottonwood’s Zoning Ordinance, a junk automobile is, “A vehicle which is incapable of movement on its own power or does not have a valid or current State of Arizona registration. It also says “no more than 2 junk automobiles shall be stored between the rear of the main structure and the rear lot line and shall not be visible from any public street”. Also, City Parking Ordinance states that it is unlawful to abandon a vehicle on any city street, highway, public right of way, private road, or property owned or leased by the city. Officials say it can be towed away at the vehicle owner’s expense. Contact the Cottonwood Community Development Department for more information.
