Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation

882 Sunset Ave, Prescott

With so much attention focused on Prescott’s Public Safety Personnel Retirement System debt in the approaching Prescott City Council election, it’s easy to forget the new council will be setting critical water policy during their time in office.

What are our most important water issues? Are the candidates prepared to set water management policy?

Come find out when the Citizens Water Advocacy Group hosts a forum on water issues for Prescott mayor and council on Aug. 5 in the sanctuary at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation building, 882 Sunset Ave. in Prescott (two blocks behind True Value). Candidates will be available to meet with the public at 9:30 a.m. The forum will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

The three candidates for mayor are: Mary Beth Hrin, Greg Mengarelli, and Jean Wilcox (currently a Prescott Council member). There are six candidates for three council seats: Steve Blair (incumbent), Constance Cantelme, Phil Goode, Greg Lazzell (incumbent – is unable to participate in the forum), Alexa Scholl, and Joseph Viccica.
We have sent the forum discussion questions to the candidates and they are posted on our website at .
