Wrong Way Driver stopped and arrested on I-17
DPS recently arrested a wrong way driver after numerous 911 calls first reported a reckless driver on southbound I-17 near Munds Park. Captain GR Manera says the vehicle exited at the Cliff Castle Casino exit, but then got back on I-17 driving south in the northbound lanes. A Trooper located the vehicle and approached it head on. The trooper decided to block the vehicle, which eventually pulled into the median and stopped. Manera says the driver, 28-year old Reginald Jackson, was charged with aggravated DUI, 7-counts of endangerment and his license was suspended. His passenger was also arrested for liquor violations.
