Suspect shoots man in Flagstaff Police Department’s parking lot

Flagstaff Police are looking for a man that shot and robbed another man as he was leaving the jail Wednesday night. At about 10-pm an unknown subject came into the Coconino County Jail Lobby and attempted to summon an officer to report a crime.  The subject was told to go to the Flagstaff Police Department to speak with an officer.  He went to the police department lobby and attempted to enter but doors were locked. He used the phone to call dispatch, but left before his call was answered. Sgt. Corey Runge says an hour later the suspect approached a man leaving the jail and asked the man if he worked inside. When the man answered no, the suspect shot the victim and stole his property. The suspect is a white male with short dark hair, balding on top with a full beard. He was wearing a dark shirt with a white logo on the left breast pocket, a dark/grey plaid colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and white Adidas shoes with the three black stripes on the side. He may have fled in a dark colored Chrysler 300 with no visible plate. The victim is expected to survive his injury.
