Officer Involved Shooting in Prescott Valley

There was a shooting involving Prescott Valley Police early this morning. Just after midnight, officers responded to several 911-calls related to a domestic violence incident in the Cypress Circle area. Officers arrived to find an intoxicated 31-year old man in the home along with his wife, a 19-year old, two 16-year olds and a 3-year old. The suspect told his wife to leave the house through the front door, while the teens and toddler escaped out a window. The man fired several rounds from a gun in the house before firing at officers, who returned fire. The man eventually surrendered following lengthy negotiations. One officer suffered a minor injury and was taken to YRMC. DPS is conducting the investigation. Names have not been released.
