Goodwin Fire Shelter Moved to Bradshaw Mountain High School

Yavapai County Emergency Management is reminding those people who have been evacuated or are on pre-evacuation notice because of the Goodwin Fire, that shelters are no longer at Mayer High School. Spokesperson Marcie Slay says the Red Cross Shelter has been moved to Bradshaw Mountain High School at 6000 Long Look Drive, Prescott Valley AZ 86314. Animal disaster services will be at the shelter for small pets. She says large animals can be taken to the Coors building at the old horse track at the Yavapai County Fair Grounds at 10501 East Highway-89A. Large animal owners will need provide containers for feeding and watering. Water is available on site. If you have any questions or need further information call 928-442-5103.

  • Breezy Pines is under mandatory evacuations
  • All of Mayer area is under mandatory evacuations
  • Pre-Evacuations have been announced for Walker, Potato Patch, Mountain Pine Acres and Mount Union.

Hwy 69 from Hwy 17 to Hwy 169 is closed
