Design work to continue for improvements to Highway-89A/Robert Road intersection in Prescott Valley
The Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization executive board this week voted unanimously to commit more dollars toward continued design of an improved Highway-89A/Robert Road intersection in Prescott Valley. The current intersection is a bottleneck in the current 14-miles of freeway between Highway-69 and Highway-89 and a safety and mobility concern for drivers. The new design will be a “grade separated” traffic interchange to enhance safety and better traffic movement. The money for the design will come from Federal funding in Fiscal Year 2021 and 2022. The new interchange will be designed by ADOT to Federal standards. In all $950,000 is set to be spent.
