Bradshaw Mountain High School student receives message threatening school shooting

Monday, Prescott Valley Police were contacted by the Bradshaw Mountain High School Assistant Principal about a message threatening the school. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says the officer learned that a student had received a text message from another student stating, “ima shoot up your school.” Ferguson says the investigation lead to the arrest of a 15-year old who was booked into Prescott Juvenile Detention Center. Police officials advise that there is zero tolerance for any language that is threatening or intimidating to another person or school. Threats or alleged threats are not jokes, and will not be considered as such.Officials ask residents, parents, and students: “If You See Something, Say Something.” even if the activity seems insignificant.
