Monday, Flagstaff Police responded to the 3000 block of North Rose Street in reference toa stabbing. Sgt Corey Runge says a male stabbing victim was found with what appeared to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He says the suspect is described as a Native American female with a possible name of Rikki Verna. She was last seen wearing a brown dress and fled on foot. He says other witnesses saw the suspect running in the area of Coconino High School where she asked a student for a ride. Runge says the suspect has not yet been caught and the case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Flagstaff Police or Coconino Silent Witness.
