YCSO issued a sex offender notification for residents living in the 1400 block of South Bates Road in Bridgeport. In 2011, 26-year old Mitchell Thomas McDermott was convicted in Texas of sexual assault. The victim was a 14-year old girl known to him. McDermott is a level two offender or an intermediate risk to the community.
