The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on Bourdon Ranch Road in Taylor early Thursday morning. Spokesperson Susan Batson says the investigation revealed that 24-year old Steven Romero of Taylor was driving too fast when he entered the curves. Batson says Romero lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway; he then overcorrected and rolled. She says Romero was the only occupant in the vehicle and he was not wearing a seatbelt. Romero was ejected through the sunroof as the vehicle rolled; he was pronounced dead on scene. Batson says alcohol and speed were likely contributors in the crash.
