Dump the Drug events are scheduled across Yavapai County on Saturday, April 28-th. The public can dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs at 9-locations in the county from 10-to-2 that day. Prescriptions can be dropped off at any law enforcement agency after which they will be destroyed. The goal is to keep the drugs out of the wrong hands. Last year in Arizona 790 people died from an opioid overdose, with prescription pain relievers being a driving force.
