Coconino National Forest done burning for the week

With Red Flag Warnings and Wind Advisories in place through Thursday, Coconino National Forest officials have put all prescribed burning on hold. Spokesman Brady Smith says Tuesday, crews were successful in treating a 110-acre stretch of land near Munds Park as well as 1,300-acres of a 1,500-acre burn near Lake Mary. Crews also worked on the Upper Beaver Creek project; 350-acres were treated with fire Tuesday with just over 1,300 still to go.
