Central Arizona Fire and Medical crews responded to a wildfire Wednesday evening off Highway 169 in Dewey. Fire Marshal Rick Chase says the fire was threatening several homes in the Cherry Creek Subdivision.Chase says crews got a quick knockdown on the fire, which burned a little over a half an acre. Highway 169 was closed for a short time while crews put out the fire.
