Highway 260 brings seven new roundabouts, Camp Verde Marshall’s Office is offering tips to drivers on how to use them

With improvements to Highway 260 bringing seven new roundabouts, Camp Verde Marshall’s Office is offering tips to drivers on how to use them. Officials say as you enter a roundabout, remember two key points: Number one; never merge. Motorists already in the roundabout have the right of way. You must slow down or stop to yield to traffic approaching from the left. Wait for a gap in traffic, then carefully proceed into the roundabout. And number 2, slow down to 15-25 mph when entering. Officials say for right-hand turns, travel in the right-hand lane, for left-hand turns, the left, and always using your signal. When continuing through the roundabout, simply remain in the same lane you entered. For missed exits, circle around the roundabout again. Officials also remind motorists to always obey one-way signs.
