With the April 17th filing deadline for this year’s individual income taxes just over two weeks away, the Arizona Department of Revenue wants taxpayers to be sure and avoid common filing errors. Tax payers should ensure all the necessary lines and forms are filled out properly and avoid math errors or miscalculations, missing required documents, the misspelling of names, or using two different names. Also to avoid tax ID, Social Security, routing and account number mistakes and most commonly, forgetting to sign and date the return. The Department of Revenue encourages taxpayers to e-file their tax forms and to use direct deposit for returns.
