Verde Valley Fire awarded $9,000 grant to continue free car seat program

Verde Valley Fire District was recently awarded a grant of over $9,000 from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to continue their program providing free car seats to low income families. Chief Nazih Hazime says car seats are provide for families that might not be able to afford one themselves. He says properly installed car seats are the number one way to prevent injuries due to accident in infants and children. Hazime also says the district also has two certified Car Seat Technicians who can provide free car seat check-ups and assistance with installation to anyone.
