Verde Valley and Copper Canyon Fire are looking to hire about 18 additional reservists. Verde Valley Fire Chief Nazih Hazime says most reserve firefighters pursue a career in firefighting and being a reservist is the first step in that direction. Hazime says reservists are required to fill shifts at least two times each month. Applications and a list of qualifications can be found on verdevalleyfire.org
